James Rory Tucker, MD
Clinical Director of Student Health
Dr. Tucker is board-certified in both family medicine and sports medicine. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy and then served as a Marine officer for six years. After leaving the service he subsequently completed his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, his residency with The Reading Hospital, and his sports medicine fellowship with Rutgers and Princeton Universities. He loves all things involving water and the oceans, but especially scuba diving. He enjoys cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.

Michael Brown, MD
Staff Physician
Dr. Brown has been with Temple University Student Health Services since 2000. A Nebraska native, he earned an AB degree in biomedical ethics and a doctor of medicine degree from Brown University in Rhode Island. He completed a residency in family medicine at Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia. He is board certified in family medicine. Prior to joining Temple, Dr. Brown practiced in Minnesota and Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, and in Philadelphia.

Nasreen Malik, MD
Assistant Clinical Director of Health Science Campus
Dr. Malik is board-certified family medicine physician. She graduated from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in 1997. Her residency training was completed at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia in 2001. Since that time, Dr. Malik has been working as a physician in Philadelphia. She joined Temple University Student Health Services in 2005. She grew up locally and attended Villanova University as an undergraduate. She currently lives with her husband, three children and a Miniature Schnauzer in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania.

Diana Zackey, MD
Staff Physician
Dr. Zackey is a board-certified internal medicine physician. Ze grew up in central Pennsylvania and received a BA in English from Yale University. Ze completed a post-baccalaureate program in pre-medical studies at the Harvard Extension School and graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2017. Following this ze completed internal medicine residency at Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ and then worked as a primary care doctor at Ninth Street Internal Medicine in center city Philadelphia. Dr. Zackey joined Temple Student Health Services in 2024. Ze lives in West Philly with a large number of succulents and two friendly cats.

Binh Luong Applegate, MSN, CRNP
Staff Nurse Practitioner
Binh Luong Applegate (she/her) is board-certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Binh earned a BA degree in International Relations and East Asian Studies from Bucknell University, studying abroad in Beijing, China for a year. She also earned a BSN and MSN at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to coming to Temple, Binh worked as a family nurse practitioner at Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) in Philadelphia, providing primary care services to uninsured and underinsured patients. Binh has also worked at Jefferson Family Medicine and Drexel University’s Student Health Center. She enjoys working in college health, helping students navigate health challenges and promoting a healthy campus environment. Outside of her clinical duties, Binh enjoys reading, running, traveling, and volunteering in her local community.

Laura Bennett, MSN, CRNP
Staff Nurse Practitioner
Laura Bennett (she/her) is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the ANCC. She has been in practice since 2014 and has over 11 years of experience as a nurse practitioner. Her undergraduate and graduate nursing degrees are both from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, and she also has a bachelor’s degree in biology from Stockton University.  Prior to joining Student Health Services in March 2024, Laura was a full-time provider at CHOP Primary Care Network Moorestown and Gibbsboro NJ for over 7 years and worked per diem as a school nurse for Cherry Hill Public Schools, both of which she still does on a per diem basis.  Laura enjoys treating both acute and chronic issues, primary care, preventative medicine, sexual health, and treating adolescents and young adults. When she is not working at Temple University, she resides in Southern NJ with her husband and two sons. She loves hiking and backpacking and embraces the great outdoors to relieve stress and find beauty.  She is a member of the Outdoor Club of South Jersey.

Rebecca Keuch, CRNP
Staff Nurse Practitioner 
Rebecca Keuch (she/her) is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over eight years of experience in community health serving adolescents and young adults. She earned her BS degree in nursing from the University of Pittsburgh and an MS degree in nursing from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to joining Temple University Student Health Services, Rebecca spent nearly 9 years working at Philadelphia FIGHT and serving as the Assistant Medical Director of YHEP Health Center, where she provided trauma-informed, patient-centered care to underserved populations. She also founded the Pride Program at Philadelphia FIGHT which focused on expending gender affirming care, creating a community resource guide, staff trainings, and working to improve clinic space for staff and patients. Her clinical expertise includes reproductive health, gender-affirming care, HIV prevention, STI prevention and treatment, and mental health support. She is passionate about creating a welcoming environment for students, helping bridge gaps in care, and empowering them to prioritize their overall wellness.

Sarah Sherr, CRNP
Staff Nurse Practitioner
Sarah Sherr is an adult nurse practitioner. She received her BS degree in nursing in 1998 and MS degree in nursing in 2001 from the University of Pennsylvania. She studied abroad in Oxford, England, for a semester while she was an undergraduate. She is member of Sigma Theta Tau International, the honor society of nursing. She has worked at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in West Philadelphia and Wolfe-Simon Medical Associates in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. She has worked at Temple University Student Health Services for more than 10 years. She is board certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center.
