All Temple University medical, dental, podiatry and pharmacy students (domestic and international) are automatically covered for Accident Medical Expense Benefits.
Coverage is in effect while participating in activities required of them by the college on and off campus. The university’s policy is coordinated by AmeriBen/IEC Group. Health Sciences Center students not covered by this policy must use their personal medical insurance.
What to do in the event of a needlestick.
Go to Temple Occupational Health Services during regular business hours. Tell them you have the aforementioned accident insurance.

On nights and weekends, go to the emergency room at Temple University Hospital and tell them you have accident insurance. Follow-up care is managed by Student Health Services.
