Needlesticks

Needlestick Insurance

All Temple University Medical, Dental, Podiatry, Pharmacy and Public Health students (domestic and international) are automatically covered for Accident Medical Expense Benefits (Claim forms can be found here).

Coverage is in effect while participating in activities required of them by the college on and off campus. The university’s policy is coordinated by AmeriBen/IEC Group. Health Sciences Center students not covered by this policy must use their personal medical insurance.

What to do in the event of a needlestick.

Go to Temple Occupational Health Services during regular business hours. Tell them you have the aforementioned accident insurance.
